Former Manchester United attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard has joined Nottingham Forest on a free transfer.
The 29-year-old England international becomes Forest’s 11th summer signing following their promotion to the Premier League.
He left the club after more than 20 years when his contract expired at the end of June.
The length of Lingard’s contract has not been disclosed by Forest.
He was also linked with a return to West Ham, where he spent the 2020-21 season on loan, scoring nine goals in 16 Premier League appearances.
Lingard, who has also had talks with Everton, appeared in 22 games for Manchester United last season, but only four of them were starts.
He will wear the number 10 shirt alongside former Manchester United teammate Dean Henderson at the City Ground.
